Using an observational tool is one thing a teacher can use. Observation tools with give the teacher a guide as to what behaviours to look for in a child. A Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ) is an observational tool that is designed to identify child that may be on the autistic spectrum, it is designed to be filled at by teachers and parents of observations they notice. There are many other observation forms that can be used. Each one will have its own individual rating system that will provide a score at the end of the end of the assessment.
