This helps many people, who could not attend college because they had no time for in-class schooling. This is especially helpful for parents and individuals who work full time jobs, and cannot afford to take the time off to go to school. This very reason is the cause that makes many people continue working miserably in their current career field, even though they may be happier and less stressed with a college degree. As we advance our academic freedom through online learning, we also better our society by giving more people even greater opportunities to be successful. Along with increasing our academic freedom, it also reduces the risk of a teacher favoring a student, or even worse having biased views against students. With online classes you are never actually face to face with instructors, so they cannot decide on a personal level whether like you or not. Even though it is unprofessional for a teacher to act in such a way, there is no way to get around certain bias believes that an individual may have. One final reason that I believe online courses are better for some people, is that certain individuals cannot work in extended periods of time on tasks. Many people have very short attention spans, and forcing them to divulge in uninteresting material for hours at a time can actually be harmful to their learning experience. In some cases teaching for too long can cause students to shut off and miss out on the material. However in online classes students can choose to do small bits and pieces at a time to complete their work more efficiently and with less stress. Also taking a break between doing work is good for the brain, because it allows the mind to shut off and relax, whereas students who have been working tirelessly for hours may miss more mistakes because they are so
