When it comes to playing the piano, people get discouraged because of the long hours you have to input in order to learn the instrument, but it is not as arduous as it seems. After putting the negative mindset aside, she discussed the music notes, which are the ABC’s of music. The notes are marked by the letters ABCDEFG. After discussing the music notes, she taught the piano keys. The black keys are used to play what is known as sharp (#) and flat (b) notes. They appear in groups of twos and threes. An example of learning the keys was by locating the Middle C, which is the white key to the left of the two black keys. The location of the Middle C is in the middle of the piano, and by locating the first middle set, you can go left to right in the piano, and notice how the key immediate to any set of two black keys is a C. After, she explained how each note indicates the count it should receive; the Whole Note is four beats, the Half Note is two beats, and the Quarter Note is one beat.
