If the company fails to be honest and gain the consumer’s trust, then the product will not have a positive outcome. As Seen on TV offered non-sticking frying pans with claims that there was no need to cook with oils or butter. The product did not live up to the claims and didn’t do what it was intended to do. The Orgreenic Kitchenware assured consumers that the products were covered with lifetime warranty even if it’s the customers fault the product becomes damaged. When customers tried claiming their lifetime warranty because of any damage they came across with, the company turned them down and mentioned that whatever their damage was it was not covered under the warranty. Therefore, the company failed to honor their explicit and implicit commitments and promises to the consumer. Fairness is another factor on the Ethics Statement and the company should balance the needs of the buyer with the interests of the seller.
