The failures we face in life give us the determination and motivation to succeed. About a year ago at The Faceoff Academy National Showcase I realized how much harder I needed to work if I wanted to play college lacrosse. There were a lot of talented kids that were already committed to colleges. I wanted to be like them. When I lost in the tournament it changed my mindset on being a student athlete.

In the first two rounds of the tournament I just flew by beating my opponents like it was nothing. When the third round came it got a lot more difficult. Each round was determined by the first to three wins. On the fourth faceoff I was tied with my opponent two – two. The faceoff started and I made one wrong move and it was over that quick. After

    One accomplishment that took a great deal of effort was lacrosse. Right from the start of freshman year, I knew that I wanted to become a good lacrosse player, enough to make an impact on the game.
