PERKASA (Persatuan Pribumi Perkasa) is a non-governmental or a civil society that is Malay dominance (a political concept emphasising Malay superior or pre-eminence in present-day Malaysia) organization that was formed by Ibrahim Ali in the aftermath of the Malaysian general elections in 2008. This conservative, extreme-right, ethnic Malay organization is led by its president Ibrahim Ali, with Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, as advisor and Dato’ Faud Hassan as deputy President pro-team committee. The motto of PERKASA is to keep MALAY moving forward. According to The Star Online (2014) report that, the group claims to have a membership of 420,000.

According to the secretary of PERKASA, Syed Hassan Syed Ali, PERKASA build up is for all the KAUM PRIBUMI uphold their right without any distinguish of the political idea .Besides, PERKASA will support anyone including the opposition party as long as they doing right and relevant issues especially those issues that related to the Malays. In addition , PERKASA also active on eliminated the prejudice especially non-Malay toward PERKASA , they active having programme with the Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Amal India Baru Malaysia (Perinnbam ) and the Persatuan Cina 1 Malaysia (PERCISAMA) , via this type of cooperation , PERKASA able to prove that PERKASA is not a racism civil society . Other from that , PERKASA also set up the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) to the prime minister , deputy prime minister , all the minister and also the government link company on the aspect of whether the government or the agency able to achieve the promise to help the …show more content…
