Parable Of The Star Bellied Sneeches

A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson , as told by Jesus in the Gospels. Parables are good at teaching lessons. When you read them you need to figure out what the lesson is teaching. They can be funny and serious. I have a of example of parable. One is about a shepherd losing his sheep, but that’s not the lesson. Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, “Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.” I tell you that in the same way there will be more …show more content…
The moral or lesson in this parable is that to find and help people who are lost and in need of direction. A fable is like a parable , but use animals and elements. Here are some examples. Here is a fable Dr. Suess wrote out the many he wrote. It’s called the Star Bellied Sneetches. In this fable, this guy comes into the land with this machine, the machine can put or remove a star from their bellies. Some Sneetches have stars and some don’t , and the star bellied Sneetches think they are better than the starless Sneetches. They back and for through this machine until all there money was spent , and they didn’t know who had what to begin with. Then the Sneetches after a while thought, “ We’re all the same even if we have a star or not.” The lesson or morale of this fable is that , everybody is the same no matter race , religion , size , appearance , and etc. My last example of a fable is on a classic Dr. Seuss book called , “Green Eggs and Ham”. You just need to apply them to life. For example, the shepherd parable. The shepherd had to go find his lost sheep. I think this can tie into life by helping the people you love. I you know someone that is in of help or is lost, we should help them. In the Sneetches by Dr. Suess, the lesson is we’re all the same no matter what we look like. In Green Eggs and Ham , the lesson is to try something new. All these lessons can be used in life , we just have to apply them to our
