Particular Talents

Particular talents I will bring to Parkside to enrich the community are: I’m an excellent writer; I can write stories, articles, and even songs, and I help and accept anybody. For example, I often received A’s on my English papers and even won an award for one of them! Also, I have been writing songs since I was 13; I needed help writing the first song, but after that, I was all right on my own. Another example would be that I know how it feels to be the outsider and unwelcome so, I always include anyone new and help them feel part of the group.

Academic successes that set myself apart from other applicants would be that I was in the MedSci Academy at Indian Trail High School and Academy for 3 years, I’m about to start online school for my

During my sophomore year as an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, I was accepted into the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. I do not exaggerate when I say that this program changed the entire course of my life: helping me to fully understand my interests, altering my professional goals, and providing me with a viable path for my passions. As a first generation student, I had very little knowledge about how to navigate the sphere of undergraduate education and in the same vein, I knew next to nothing about graduate school. Before McNair I was never aware of what graduate school could offer me and the program, and the people it connected me with, became my greatest source of support as I made the journey into pursuing my doctorate.…

In terms of character, I am persistent and passionate when given tasks, and I am more than willing to help others with their problems, whether it is school-related or not, without resorting to dishonest means such as cheating. In terms of scholarship, I have done my best to obtain excellent grades and have successfully maintained A averages throughout all my classes at McNair so far.…

don't envy the hard job that the Howard Medical School admissions committee has. Out of thousands of very qualified, competitive, and very competent applicants the committee must decide who fits best with the program and who will have the most to offer the school and the community which it serves. Like most, my young professional career is decorated with academic accomplishment and personal achievement. Today, however, I would like the committee to evaluate my readiness for medical school not only based on my achievements and personal success, but, more importantly, I would also like to be evaluated by the actions I took in the face of failure. It is no secret, the MCAT has been an uphill battle for me.…

I have accomplished different things throughout my four years at Cox Mill. I made the varsity baseball team as a sophomore, was nominated to homecoming court freshman and junior years, and won the title of Prom Prince my junior year. I have struggled with a learning disability in reading and a transient tic disorder, but managed to complete a few honors courses successfully. However, my biggest success and legacy would be my ability to work well and accept others for who they are, without stereotyping.…

Future Plans and Reasons for Applying for a Farm Bureau Scholarship Some kids play sports in high school. Others march in the band, star in school plays, or join the healthcare career training program. Me, I didn’t do any of those things, because, after middle school, I made the decision to devote my life and career to help better the industry of agriculture in the future. Thus, I didn’t spend my afternoons out on the field or on the stage in high school, I spent mine in barns, animal pens, and classrooms, as an avid member of both 4-H and FFA along with involvement in numerous other programs related to agriculture in the local community. Not trying to brag on myself, although scholarship applications like this are the place to do so, but the accomplishments I achieved in my youth career along with those I continue to achieve have led me to have one of the most decorated resumes…

I have always been amused by the concept of us having a special hidden talent (or talents) inside of us that stayed hidden until we go and figure it out for ourselves. Then once we figured it out, something miraculous would happen to confirm that it was indeed our destiny. (explain little sister and MLP) Think about it, wouldn’t it be so amazing to know , for sure, what we are best at in our lives? And then maybe if we found that special talent, something cool would happen, like we automatically got a mark placed on us (like a tattoo or something) to show everybody what we specialize in?…
