It is necessary to be committed to lifelong learning because health care is continuously changing. With the more changing to come it is essential that nurses stay up to date with the best practices. According to the Oncology Nursing society, nursing is a profession that is called to lead change and there is a need to learn until the end of one’s career. Learning comes in different forms undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, formal, informal, and self-study (Society, 2012). Many healthcare facilities that hold magnet status encourage professional development and require multiple online learning classes to completed yearly. This semester the last assignment required short-term and long-term personal goals, educational goals, and financial goals. By addressing goals, it encourages the students to think and figure out what is next for them. There was no correlation for this objective with any of the
