One of our core values as an organization is patient-centeredness, the idea that the patient is at the center of everything we do (The Guthrie Clinic, 2015). We achieve our focus and values through core competencies in our facilities and workforce. We try to accommodate the needs of every patient by providing ease of access to our services through a central campus supported by multiple surrounding locations. Our facilities staff keeps the sidewalks, parking lots, and buildings in great condition and ensures there is proper signage to the benefit of the patient in their travels at our locations. Employees are trained to greet patients with the proper communication and etiquette (The Guthrie Clinic, 2015). While patients are in our care, our staff does their best to make sure the patient is comfortable. Our staff is trained and educated in how to listen to a patient’s problems and to find a way to alleviate those issues. Adhering to privacy standards is of the utmost importance. Training and auditing of proper policies is administered by staff on the premise of all of our facilities to the benefit of our patients. Our employees take part in many community events as well, such as providing staff at football games to address any injuries that may occur, setting up informational tents at markets or fairs, and raising money for many great causes through employee led teams at 5k runs or walks. We realize that as leaders in the community, it’s important to have a positive role in healthy activities and be good
