When roaming the land after the defeat of Atlas, he came across a princess by the name of Andromeda who was chained to a rock. After the queen boasted about her daughters' beauty, she stated that she is more beautiful the Nereids. This had angered Poseidon, and he demanded that she would be killed by a sea monster for a sacrifice. Whilst explaining to him the explanation of her being chained to a rock, the sea monster came ashore. Perseus acted quickly and turned the horrid monster to stone as he crumbled.
To conclude, Perseus was an epic hero. He might not have been the strongest, and he was able to die, he was still a hero. For he was swift, fearless, and wise. The prophecy that was told before even Perseus was born, happened shortly after Perseus, Andromeda, and Danae went back to the island which he was born on. He had entered a sports competition, threw a disk, and it hit his grandfather, killing him instantly. After his wife's death, and his own death, Athena immortalized them. Perseus became a star, and his love was with
