EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Certificate - The course lasts one semester and in it you'll learn advanced first aid techniques. You can enroll yourself in a local community college, adult education programs and private vocation schools for this course.
Paramedic License - You may apply for a paramedic program on your local area. Contact your local office of emergency services to find a list of schools on your area. Paramedic programs are very competitive and will usually last eight to two years.
CPR Certification - you can get this on your EMT (emergency medical technician) Course.
CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) card - Keep yourself physically healthy to be able to pass this rigorous test. This is to test your ability to do the job itself.
