Being a perfectionist has it's positives and negatives. Perfection for me was a matter of not allowing myself to fail at anything. Experiencing failure to me allows a person to grow and to learn how to overcome failure. I grew up as a perfectionist, but recently, I have learned the value of failure.

I let myself give up on school when I was younger but since then I've used that as motivation to bring myself down. Each time I feel like giving up, I look back to my past and think about where I could have been but I used that as motivation to keep myself going.

I'm more careful at making decisions then I was before when I was very careless. Now when my father criticizes me, I take it into consideration to better myself. Being a perfectionist isn't all that bad as it seems and I'm thankful for my dad being critical.
My father criticizing me helped mold me into the bright and strong person I am. If it wasn't for my father helping me into the person I am today, I would have had a messier life. Having perfectionism a part of my life has helped me want to succeed more and I've learned to let myself fail too. Wanting to succeed and letting myself fail has helped me progress in my
