On the fourth day we went to the river for the third time and at that time I wasn't even thinking about a crayfish because I thought we were just going to go rafting. Until my uncle pete said " If you guys catch a crayfish I will by you guys ice cream. Then I expected thinking this would be a piece of cake but then thought about it real hard and said in my head this would be impossible so I asked pete where would I find one he said in the shallow part of the river. So we swam over there and look upstream than downstream in the downstream part we thought we found one but it was a dead fish. Then came middlestream

A.I believe the most challenging aspect of working in protective services would be not letting your career consume you physically and mentally. Knowing that there's such a great need out there and you're not always able to help when you want to,would be the most challenging aspect to me . You wouldn't think that it affects you, but it does. The emotional strain of the job and the desire to want to help everyone can be overwhelming.…

This is my first year of high school, and so far I am enjoying this year more than any of my previous years in elementary school at Aviston Elementary. In the past years, I was a stressed out loner who was easily annoyed by everything and could not get long-term projects done without having a melt down at some point. However, in this year that has changed. I have made a few friends who have stayed with me for the entire year, learned to tolerate immature, childish actions, and have not felt completely overwhelmed to this date. This year and previous years both had their moments, but I would not change anything that happened because they both helped make me who I am now.…

About four years ago I was playing club lacrosse for the Villanova Wildcats travel team. I was about thirteen years old when I experienced one of my first significant lessons of failure. At a young age many do not understand the importance of failures and short comings, and how it is essential to learn, grow, and improve. We think success comes easy and without trial which is not realistic. My life changing failure taught me many things: the strength of teamwork, the power of preparation and will, and how to be a better competitor.…

On March 31, 2018, which was on a Saturday I went to my first real view, soccer game it was located inside the southeast entrance of stubhub center at 12pm in the afternoon. I had never been to a game before, but of course my husband convinced me to go with him and my in laws since they are big fans of the Galaxy team. I was really excited since I had already seen these teams play on television. Although it was my first time I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed being able to understand the sport and their rules. I just felt so bad when a player would get injured because it seemed so painful seeing someone get kicked or falling really bad and getting scratched by the grass.…

While both of the videos were interesting for this week, I definitely think I related more to the Ted Talk. When she started to talk about her som throwing up everything he ate, I thought, wow, he must be really allergic to cookies. Then, after further watching, she started to talk about his food allergy and I was shocked that I had guessed it within the first few minutes. However, this story was very relatable, not because I have a disability, but as a kid, I had extreme asthma, like many other children. I lived at the doctors office and my mom was scared to let me go anywhere by myself.…

But I was a little too close to the telescopic sight mounted atop the rifle.…

I vividly remember the first day of sixth grade; I looked at my schedule just “knowing” I would switch out of the “Odyssey of the Mind” class, especially since I had never even heard of it before. I had no idea that exactly two years later I would be the one standing in the middle of the Iowa University stadium, performing in front of hundreds of other passionate competitors from over a hundred countries around the world. I have always been good at painting, drawing, and coming up with witty answers to teacher's questions. However, only a few other students understood what I was saying. I was never able to put my creative skills to good use, besides the rare once-a-quarter projects we would have.…

In 17 years I’ve experienced many challenges and struggles. I’ve had health scares, friends of mine have died, people I know have tried to seriously injure or hurt me, and sometimes things just didn’t work out in my favor. Bad things happen to everyone, and in my case it wasn’t the events that were the challenge, but how I dealt with them. Looking back, I wasn’t dealing with the those situations in a healthy way. In fact, the biggest barrier in my own happiness, success, and wellbeing has always been myself.…
