To start of my religion is Islam which makes me a muslim individual. The kind of beliefs I as a muslim believe in is that there is someone that created us which is God but the proper word is “Allah”, also believe that angels exist, believing the Holy Books which properly called “ The Quran and The Injil”, the prophets and messengers of islam, and so on. Ever since I was little my mother read the “ Quran” to me and I would listen to her beautiful voice and words I have never in my life heard as they smoothly came to of her mouth with a rhythm that makes your heart and mind calmer than you can ever imagine. I was told the language that the Quran was written in. I would always studie to perfect the way each word escaped my mouth and how I would control the volume I needed to use to make it amazing so that I wouldn't mess the wording up. The Quran was written in arabic but it was very difficult for me to sometimes understand or get corrected by my teachers which made me furious because it felt like I was getting picked on, instead of all the other kids my classes. I learned that never give up and get bored I would always be easy because I wouldn't be bored at what I’m doing and spending time on. I was born in Eritrea but came to Canada almost 10 years ago. I speak English very well and Somali fluently, I am learning Tigrinya which is spoken officially in Eritrea where I grew up in my early childhood years. Tigrinya is my third language and has its own unique way of speaking it which interests me in learning it until this day. Then comes to Arabic my fourth language I am learning since I was young. This language connects to the language the Quran is written in and to understand the core of the Quran you must be able to speak Arabic and read , just like English and how we read books and write them to. Currently I am very excited on mastering these to langues as the adventure of my life continues to take a to wonderful places. I am also proud of myself and how far I have come with the struggles of learning what I love and experiencing default payed off because I know can communicate to people and enough that we understand each other and have small talks. I am also amazed about how much practise I’m getting practise of all the Eritrean people here and speak Tigrinya unlike back in Ottawa there were a few. In the upcoming future I’m hoping to visit the country I was born in and also the country I’m originally from. I hope I also master as many languages I as can because that will help me understand people around me and other cultures
