After graduating from middle school, i was starting to transition into a freshman. Freshman year was one of the hardest years I've ever been through. My GPA was just above the 2.0 requirement, i didn't know what I was doing. I’m one of those kids who doesn't do their homework until night-time, or a big project until the day before its due. I always procrastinate at the most serious times. I never really took high school that serious because i didn't know what i was going to do with my life after graduating and moving on. It’d be repetitive, I would do it every day and I did not learn my lesson. Until my grades started to drop under a 2.0 gpa. I had to stay low for the time being and just focus on myself because I had to get my gpa above a 2.0, or i would fail and wouldn't be able to walk to stage or have to go to summer school. I made a promise to my family i’d walk the stage and go to college and be the first one to finish. My parents wanted me to make them proud, and i do too. They want me to have the life they never had. They came to the US and didn’t bring me back to the Philippines to have a good life.
What i’ve learned in high school is that time is the most important thing in your life. You can't get it back, you need to use it wisely. You shouldn't procrastinate until the last-minute and hope to have a good outcome. You need to focus and make it perfect and make sure it isn’t rushed through. People say the stuff they teach us in high school isn’t used in the real world., but to me high school has made a big impact on my life and i believe it all will be useful
