Shaela: Caring, Intelligent, and Humorous

“There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.”-

Thomas Aquinas. One of my best friends in the whole world is Shaela. Interestingly,

her mother is my father’s sister, which makes us first cousins. Within four months

after our lovely cousin Arwen was born, I was born, and four months after that

Shaela was born. Because we are so close, Shaela and I can be discovered spending

a good portion of our free time together no matter where we might be. Brightening

Because of her nurturing nature,

Shaela is always willing to offer her help. Around the Bible school time at my

church, she graciously gives of her time and volunteers as a crew leader, which in

roller-skating, she was more than willing to go to the hospital with him, but his

extraordinary friend Eli ended up going instead. Shaela is a caring friend.

Although Shaela is caring, she is also gifted when it comes to academics.

In school she is a straight A student, just like her older brother, Nolan. Recently she

was in the spelling bee, where unfortunately, she did not place. Along with the

spelling bee she is also in AP math, which allowed her to skip a math grade, and

scholastic bowl. Wonderfully, Shaela is also extremely gifted in the fine arts

department as well. Because of her knack for art, an exquisite butterfly mask she

made was published in a magazine. Playing her French horn in band and singing in

the school chorus and choirs is something that she does not only do favorably, but

she enjoys it as well. Shaela is extraordinarily gifted academically and in the area

As routine , at 6a.m., I hear a melodious alarm followed by the pitter-patter of my aunt who is getting ready for work.…
