Costco pays its employees higher than average, hoping to keep them happy in the work place, and in turn they speak about the company to others. It’s could be a win for the employees, if referrals are an incentive along with higher than average pay, and it’s always going to be a win for the company bringing in another member to the Costco community. I would rate Costco like this because of how it is trying to differentiate itself from other low-priced stores, and because of the focus it gives to each of it stores which in return focuses on the customers that it has around the location of the
