The three years I spent with my mother in India were the turning point of my youth; not only did I grow in age and academia, but my personality transformed from one of delicate shyness to bold confidence. India gave me what is now my favorite pastime- writing poetry. But more importantly, it gave me the experience to be able to proudly call myself a world citizen. After all, we must have the capability to shape ourselves in order to be presentable to society as not just citizens of a nation, but citizens of the world. It brings me great joy to say that I now find no difficulty in adjusting to the social climate wherever my travels take
