Accepting all the differences in the culture and the religion was very tough for me at the beginning, being called a ‘’ terrorist ‘’ wasn't the ideal nickname that I was hoping to have. But it got me even more motivated and focused in the tennis court, that I wanted to get better every single day. This magical love in my heart for tennis sometimes even amused myself That how can someone be so in love with a sport that think about it all day and not be sick of it. One day as I was scrolling down through my instagram page I got disturbed by a horrible despairing post which hurt my heart, my coach, the best person in the world, has passed away. All the memories suddenly flashed backed in my mind in a regretful way. Remembering those joyful afternoons, my mom sitting next to the court and me laughing in tears on the court because of that hilarious exuberant man, made me smile and cry at the same time. I don't recall once seeing him without a smile on his face, and not making people laugh. The bitterness of this news totally crashed me for a week, But it changed me and made me a stronger

During my younger years my dad, who played tennis when he was younger, coached me and taught me how to hit my basic ground strokes such as backhands and forehands. With my high school requiring a year of physical education, I opted to take the lifetime sport for I was nervous to compete for a spot on the highly competitive teams my school was known for. The district ranked player’s father, Mr. Weaver, was a sophomore chemistry teacher who happened to play tennis professionally in his heyday. I was never a sporty kid. For the majority of my childhood, my hobbies have included reading, playing video games, and other generic nerd activities. I worried about it for the weeks leading up to the first practice, but eventually I decided “Why not? It may end up being fun.”…
