Getting my CNA license was an eye opener leading to me finding God. Although I didn’t quite understand what God was preparing before, I finally saw that He created the most fulfilling path I could ever explore. Being a CNA was a very underrated achievement. I was told that people older than me grew up and held on to that licensure and continue to do that for the rest of their lives. Although it was a joy caring for elderly in a nursing home, I knew that I had to continue my journey and expand my education. God lead me to this path and I needed to follow it. I started setting up appointments with the counselor every other week, I applied for over 10 colleges, and I began seeking extra volunteer work in hospitals and clinics.
After applying to all more than 10 colleges and only getting in to less than half, I got an acceptance to CSU. I dropped to my knees and cried because I knew that this was nothing but God and His plan for me. I was going to settle for a non-credited school but instead God gave me the school with the best nursing program in South Carolina. The feeling that I had was indescribable.
