The Journey
Fast, sporty, black, classy, and luxurious is the car I am buying today. A Chrysler 300, a car I have been dreaming of possessing from the time when I was in middle school, but this is not my first car. As I am gazing and riding in my new car I grin and ponder back to my first car I got two years ago. A car I got a first few months into my junior year that started my journey of freedom and responsibility. Yup, she was a beauty, a 2011 Chevy Malibu in its prime.
Freedom, adventure, and thrill began in November during my junior year. I had just seen a Chevy Malibu for sale online in Moline and it drew my attention, I could not stop thinking of it. The next week my father and I went to Moline, and wow, I was astonished! It had a nice

I wanted to go Black Friday shopping with my friends up in Rockford. I had to prove I could arrive in Rockford safe and make it back, so that’s what I planned on doing. My friends and I took off at 5 A.M., and as I was entering Rockford I was automatically thrown into the fire with thousands of drivers around me trying to Black Friday shop as well. I had to dodge all these cars, glance at all my mirrors during my lane changes, and make sure I was not going way above the speed limit. As much fun as that was, I just could not on this trip. Entering Cherryvale mall, I felt a little overwhelmed by all the cars in that area. With cars going in and out from every corner, I had to watch every parking spot as I was looking for a spot to park and for any people nearby so I don’t hit them. In the end, it turned out to be a successful trip and proved I could be accountable and trusted with a car.
After a few months of owning a car, and many obstacles and challenges thrown at me. One of the first obstacles was reaching that milestone of having to change the car oil. I decided I wanted to change it with my dad since it was my first car and first oil change. He showed me where the oil tank was at and what to do exactly. It took us about thirty minutes with all the steps he was showing me. I felt a sense of pride in myself. Doing the dirty work and not paying a random guy to change

This car taught me some valuable lessons I won’t forget, like how to save money. Purchasing this car, I forgot all about the fact that cars need gas to run. Who pays for that gas? I do, and I was spending at that time around $15 a week on gas. It was an expenditure I was not regarding at when deciding to buy this car. Life would be simple and easy if gas was free and abundant. But no, life is not always perfect, I had to learn to save money out of my checks for gas. Even though I would rather spend that money on some nice shoes or clothing or upgrades for my car. But overall it helped me grow as a person and learn how to start saving money. Saving for gas money also helped me accumulate more money on the side for other items. I would put away about $60 for gas on every check, so at the end of the month I would have about $120 saved up. In the end, it was a win-win. I learned to save and had extra money saved up at the end of each month.
Now it has been about a year of having this car and I feel like I am married to it. Looking after it and taking it to the car wash, getting its sleek, glossy, gray exterior paint washed. The inside of the car was a hassle, scrubbing the mats, and wiping off any stains. Taking care of it like it is a living thing. But, that is what happens when you are around your car for extended periods of time, making sure everything is ok and nothing wrong with it. Being cautious that you are not

Do you ever wonder why things turn out the way they do: why the colors of the leaves change when the season turns from summer to fall, or why someone can be treated so awfully, yet still continue to love that person with all their heart ? “The sense of wonder speaks of our hunger to be moved, to be engaged and impassioned with the world and take pleasure in it, attuned to it and fascinated by it” (7 Ways to Spark Your Sense of Wonder). Sometimes, terminology can confuse people, so let's clear up exactly what used car extended warranty actually is right form the get go. Obviously, a used car is one that has been owned by some one else before you purchased it. When Charlie turned 16, we purchased a 1979 Firebird like the one in figure 171 for him to drive. It was rougher than Gina’s car, but I rebuilt the engine, and it proved to be reliable transportation for school and work. Rick wanted a Mustang, and we purchased a 1966 6 cylinder Mustang like the one shown in Figure 172. Though the price was comparable to Charlie’s and Gina’s cars, by the time we sold the car, it turned out to be the most expensive car I have ever owned- even the Honda (excluding depreciation). First; it did not have power steering, so I bought a used power steering unit and installed it.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

Many people assume purchasing a new car is out of their budget without hearing their options which would help them realize that in this case, it is value over cost. Without a car, it would be awfully hard for one to commute but it would be just as meaningless to own a car that could break down at any given moment. Therefore, purchasing a new car is the right choice for many reasons because of the automatic warranty, upgraded features and the return on their investment. There are always exceptions, but to get the most out of the purchase is answer how much the vehicle will cost over time. The best way to save time and money is to purchase a newer car that will not fail on…
