"I doubt she will ever graduate high school" was a sentence expressed to my family members, it was regarding me. These discouraging words were spoken out of the mouth of my own father. While eavesdropping I overheard this statement when I was in my freshman year, and I believed him. The thought of not graduating replayed in my head throughout the majority of my high school career. For an extensive period of time, that statement prevented me from reaching my full potential. Suddenly I realized that I had a choice, I could either drop out as everyone else in my family did, or I could graduate and attend college.
