As we were running I could taste the saltiness of the sweat coming off my forehead. We quickly turned the corner and hid behind a tall rose bush and tried to figure out what we could do. With every second that passed by we could hear the loud thunder like march of teenage boys that obviously didn’t want to be messed with. However, we couldn't see them because at this point in time the sun had already set and that and it was foggy and a few of the street lights we out. Then we quickly we tried to think of how we could get away from them. Dylan found a rock on the ground and he threw it in their direction to scare them, but that didn't work, so, we hid for another half hour waiting, watching, and hoping that they weren't going to come beat us up.
They left after a while and we went to Dylan’s house and ate all the candy that we had picked up trick-or-treating. Michael and I ended up staying the night because it was around 11:30 when we got there.
We learned that night that if there is a sizeable group of drunk teenagers wanting you to leave and you’re not prepared for a fight then you should leave. The feeling of getting chased down by people that we didn’t even know and not knowing what to do is not a feeling that I want again. Next time, though, I will be ready to fight or we will just leave when they tell us
