Personal Narrative: How Kenya Changed My Life

Decent Essays
I grew up in a small village in kenya but most of my family were from somalia. Every day the villagers feared weather there will be a war or enough food or water for the night . I feared my family members would go out and hunt for food but wouldn’t be able to return because different native tribes attack anybody they see walking alone. At the age of 6 my siblings I got the news that my parents are getting a divorce , Furthermore as the days went by I faced a lot of misfortunes that caused me to isolate myself .

My mother started to struggle with financial needs for her kids like finding food , paying medical fees , and taking us to school , due to that two of my siblings passed away due to starvation . Nevertheless living in Kenya showed me that we needed a better life outside this country. We went to bed hungry every night because my father would take the food he hunted to his other family .
