I have not been thinking differently but I am surely endeavoring. I have an arduous time changing things about myself so at this point I am just gradually endeavoring. After reading these two chapters I endeavor to disunite my emotions from my thinking due to the fact that they incline to get me into an abundance of trouble. Prior to making decisions, I stop and notice first if I am allowing my emotions to get in the way. I ascertain no emotions are tied to my decisions just so at the end I get a good outcome.…
Starting a first assignment can be enjoyable yet nerve wrecking, as when it involves researching yourself on "Google". it doesn't seem to help either Being a beginner to online classes, Its quite Intimidating .Its comforting of being slightly used to the computer, as my past job experience has been mostly at call centers, in front of lucent screen. When I vigoursly research myself I expect to find past photos which I probably never knew existed, maybe a my space account, sadly abandoned as I matured through the years without it. What I did find though surprisingly did not surprise me .…
My experiences over the last six years living in NYC have shaped me into the approachable and compassionate person I am today. I have been immersed in a melting pot with many different culturally and economically diverse populations. These unique experiences have broadened my horizons and allowed me to gain valuable communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I searched out opportunities to give back and help the people in my community both in volunteering in hospitals, educating high school students, and interning in private practices. I even traveled with the organization Medlife, setting up a medical clinic to provide basic medical care and education to people in the poor and underserved communities surrounding Lima, Peru.…
As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…
Before them books were something my teachers assigned me and those books were good but they were not my books. But Part One led to Part Two, and so the story goes.…
I don't really read outside of school but I do have a stack of books in my room that I want to read and then I remember I should be reading the driving book so I can get my license and then I just don't do either. But I do want to read I brought a book from home today…
We - as civilization - are shaped by our interactions with people. Some people have an engaged personality; generally bold or active. Other people tend to have a shy or introverted personality, preferring to be engaged in a small group of friends and stray from large groups. I am both partially introverted and extroverted, but prefer the latter. Reading is such a major part of my life; from the time I could comprehend the written word, I had always turned towards book.…

Personal Memoir, Near the end of my sophomore year me and my three friends wanted to go on an adventure and explore the school. Lets wait for nick, I said, once nick got to the locker room we all went into the gym and opened up the door that leads to the ladder to get up to the rafters.…
Ironically, though I wasn’t immediately taken with reading, I became an avid reader after those first few difficult years. I was a regular at my elementary school’s small library, and I competed in everything book-related that I could. Battle of the books, spelling bees, and English classes were my favorite pastimes in grade school. Other children dreaded completing summer reading and literature studies, but I looked at reading…
The second person I interviewed was my friend Cody. When he was in high school he worked in a summer camp for boy scouts. The pay for this job wasn’t very good but it was well worth the experience. When Cody turned 18 he wanted to find a good job that paid well so he became a roofer.…
My Memoir What doesn’t kill you can only make you stronger is what I learned in 2012. At 10 years old I had a stroke. When it happened all I could think about was how bad the start was. But then I realized just how amazing the journey and how amazing the end ould be.…
I used to always read all time when I was younger, during dinner, free time or anywhere that I could possibly get a place to read. There was something about books to me when I was reading them, like video games but with books. For hours, I would just sit down and read until I was told to do something or until I was done with the book. For example, Geronimo Stilton, a series of books I loved when I was younger back in sixth grade, which I would sit down and finish 5 books in a matter of a few hours. Then I was introduced to no illustration books, which I was not cooperative with reading with until I read Rick Riordan’s books.…
The first thing I noticed was the color. It was faded in one section. The different layers were now becoming visible. The pattern of the couch reminded me of it. I sat in the spot.…
Living in a small Appalachian town in Kentucky, has exposed me to many obstacles I have had to overcome to get where I am today. I am an honor student, a certified nursing assistant, and a Robinson Leader. I am also enrolled as a freshman at Maysville Community and Technical College while still being enrolled at Menifee County High as a senior. I rise to the top of many of my classes although I am usually the youngest. Getting to where I am today was not easy.…
