After I hit my head on a piece of playground equipment I began getting terrible headaches. They associated it with the concussion, but after months of symptoms they began to believe that the hit triggered migraines. I have a family history of migraines; my father had food related headaches when he was young, my mother had one for months due to the stress of my father being stationed in Korea, and my maternal grandmother has them that cause her to lose vision. However this particular round of migraines lasted only a couple months. During those months we tried many different medications and changing my diet to try to control the headaches. Some medications helped the pain for a short while, but all seemed to prove unsucessful over time. Eventually, the headaches went away, whether it was, the gluten, corn, and dairy free diet, the medications, or just coincidence that stopped them, we all assumed that the problem had been solved. Since the onset of the second round of relentless headaches sophomore year, I have found it very difficult to complete classes, complete the smallest of daily tasks, and enjoy
