As a teacher, I hope to model this practice to my students by providing them with evidence-based and clinically relevant materials. My teaching accomplishments are in many ways interconnected to my scholarly activities. For example, I create my teaching materials based on up-to-date, evidential support. In addition, I also desire to be involved with clinically relevant research that will not only maintain my excellence in providing clinical care/instruction, but also improve outcomes for the patients receiving services from physical therapist professionals. Specific to my teaching capabilities, I utilize the teaching evaluations completed by my peers and students to pause and reflect on my strengths and weaknesses both in my own teaching abilities as well as the structure of the class. As professional responsibilities include deadlines and fulfillment of designated roles, by establishing this practice in the classroom I hope to prepare students for the eventual transition as an employee. As a secondary benefit, I hope that a student’s level of stress and anxiety can be minimized as finding the balance between life and work and school can be complicated when expectations surrounding classroom assignments are not communicated
