My parents told me to go inside of the closet and hide. The closet was filled with pots if I were to knock one over, my life would be over. I doubted that I wouldn't be captured. It was a twist of fate and the army somehow busted the impenetrable steel door. The army asked questions to my parents as to why they were out for so long. They said they faced a lot of weather conditions in Cerinia and said they came back today. One soldier said, “why are you wearing armor?” My parents said they heard someone was coming to their house and heard noises coming from the door so they wore armor and went to the basement to be protected. The army felt regretful for destroying the basement door and apologised. Another soldier said, “where is Lombardi?” My parents said he died from heart failure. The army feels pitied onto my parents and prayed for the “deceased Lombardi.” The army left. Our objective was accomplished until, a rat scared me and I tumbled upon the pots and made a lot of noise. I was taken to the government office and the government official said I had to work as a slave for the rest of my life. I was dead inside. I had no sense of enthusiasm. My parents were never to work in the government ever again. Everyone would treat me like an object. They would throw bricks at me which, considering that since the slave's job is to clean the city and do people’s work; wouldn't it make sense if the people cared more about the physical and mental well-being of the slave? The city is almost always clean and I don’t understand why I have to clean the city. Once we had finished working, we would be given food and then we went to sleep near the surrounded barbed fence located at the center of the Corneria.
