Personal Narrative Of Soda And Pony's Coming Home

Improved Essays
Ten years after the rumble happened, ten years since Johnny and Dally died.

The past ten years have been rough for Soda and Pony, but we managed to

stay together through all of the things that happened. We managed to build a house

to shelter Pony, Soda, and the gang. We were able to send Pony to college and

he’s coming back today for the first time in three years.

I called everyone so that I could talk to them about Pony coming back.

“So, Pony’s coming home today, and I know that everyone’s excited, but we need to

clean the house up. Steve, clean the floors. Soda, cook the food. Two-Bit, gather the trash

around the house, and I’ll set up his room.”

I went to Pony’s room and saw that

everything was still the same.

to get some fresh air while the sun set. “That sunset is something.. Johnny

might’ve enjoyed seeing it.” I sighed. I walked back in the house and saw everyone

watching TV. Seeing that the house was clean, I sat next to Soda to watch TV,

waiting for Pony to come home.

Pony came home after we watched TV, and as soon as he walked through the

door, everyone had smiles across their faces, and we all gave him a hug. “You guys are

squeezing me to death,” says Ponyboy “How are you doing in college, Ponyboy? Making good

grades?” I asked.

“The kid has had a long ride we can talk whenever we eat.” said Steve.

The food was great. We all had a long conversation about Pony and catching up with

each other. Even though life has been hard for every single one of us, we all depend on

each other and stick together. I just wish that Dally and Johnny were here to spend

these valuable times with us, but we still have them in our hearts. Pony told us about

the stories of when he and Johnny would hide in the church and how they helped the kids

escape. After we ate, Pony fell asleep on the couch and I carried him to

In order to invent the seatbelt, my best friend and I had learned to fully understand the need for such a precaution the hard way. It all began in the 1950 's, a time of Bobby Darin, my favorite musician, and president Truman.…
