The way I had to learn was though school, and the daily observation of the country we live in. To my understanding the government always say that hears our plead for a better minimum working wage, but they never take action. People are still living in poverty today, and the promises that we were told about raising minimum wages has yet to come. Know that I’m older I mostly see the government as liars that don’t really care about the American people, but act like they do. The government has been dancing around the topic, but they never act on what they’ve promised for us. As Obama promised in many speeches about raising the minimum wage he still hasn’t. If I was to use the Contract law in a court case, I could use that as my evidence. They promised something for our vote, and we took the deal so they must capitalize on their promises. As the president, you should have the power to pass and veto laws, might as well do as promised. Minimum wage should have been raised a long time ago, but now in 2016 almost 2017 we still have gotten nowhere.
