Nervous and feeling out of place, I started walking towards my new school. Usually I am excited about having a fresh start, but this feels different.Starting middle school felt thrilling and adventurous. The first two weeks I had no real friends and was always alone. I just felt that everyone was silently judging me. In middle school I never worried or cared what others think of me. I realized I am different person in high school than I was in middle school. August 17, 2014, I first started middle school. My mother decided to sign me up at catholic school. Fixing my knee socks, I started walking towards the small building. I smiled at people passing by and searched for my room. Weeks went by and everything was going great. Soon, my classes …show more content…
Then, I was put into algebra 1 for eighth grade. The beginning of eighth grade was much better for me. I studied, took notes, and payed attention in class more. Everything was looking great. Algebra 1 wasn’t a easy class though. That class threw me off, causing me not try my best again. Soon, I started not study and I barely passed all my test. All I did was hang out with my friends and watch Netflix all night. I had no sleep at all either. I was late to school for the most and had a “ I don’t care attitude”. When STAAR test was close by, I decided to change. I worked hard in class, turned in my assignments, and passed my test. Finally, I got my STAAR results and passed all of them. The work paid off and I was going to highschool. I knew highschool will be different from middle school. I actually started out strong, and hope to finish strong too. A few weeks went by and I eventually made friends. I started to feel like I belong. I now see no one cares how popular you are or where you came from. It’s how much time you put in school.I ended up becoming friends with some nice people. I never would have thought I could have time for friends and school

Starting high school is an overwhelming feeling as it’s the last four years of schooling where it was time to look at my strengths and weaknesses in order not to fail. I never really thought that hanging out with friends would change my focus on school. Although I had every intention to pass all my classes, peer pressure got to me to where school wasn’t important anymore. I wasn’t an A straight student nor was I good at sports, but I never intended to fail any courses. Even though I didn’t pass all my classes, it was the fact that when I failed them, it was my parent’s disappointment where I truly felt like a failure.…

On Wednesday April 27, 2016 at approximately 8:50 A.M. I arrived with another online student, Sarah Johnson, at the Allegany County Circuit Court at the address of 30 Washington Street, Cumberland MD, 21502. The judge for that morning was W. Timothy Finan. Upon entering the front door, you had to put all of your stuff in tubs that they ran through the security scanner; while they were doing that, you walked through a scanner as well. On the other side you reclaimed your items. The security officer then directed us upstairs to the second court room.…

Everyone told me, "You 'll be great," and "Just do what you always do. " That 's the strange part because I didn 't expect to go through so many changes at all once. For the most part, I didn 't enjoy middle school too much, but I did learn one very important trait that I never had; to be strong and to have my voice for things that are wrong to me. I 've faced so many incidents in middle school where I had come to a point where these problems became impossible to handle.…
