The Stalking Dead

I was running away from the strange man who kept following me. Everywhere I went he was there. I was trying to escape him, but every turn, corner, or street, he was there. He kept telling me “it’s time just accept it.” As I was running away, he kept stopping in front of me. I was starting to freak out, but kept telling myself “stay calm” but that didn’t work. When I got to my house, there he was sitting on my doorstep. Also next to him there was an hourglass tipped over. It was still full. It had not started pouring out yet but when the man saw me, he tapped it and it started pouring out. I ran into my room and locked the door, but when I turned around he was sitting on my bed.
“What do you want from me” I asked him.

I was walking through the streets when a little puppy walked up to me. I figured I wasn’t going home so I kept her and named her Juany.
She started barking at a man and his kids.
The man asked“are you infected.”
“Not that I know of.”I said. “Are you.”
“Not yet.”
The puppy started barking again, and the man turned and ran away saying “He’s here. He’s here.” I looked around to see what he was talking about, but there was nothing there. It was starting to get dark, so I slowly started walking away looking for a place to sleep for the night. I had been looking for three hours, when I found a cave and went inside.
I found some wood and made a fire only to put it out because I saw the man who had been following me sitting with the hourglass, this time half full. “Why are you following me”, I said. “It’s time”, he said.
“Time for what.”
He stayed silent, and when I woke up The man was gone without anything left behind.
I got up and walked around outside with the puppy, who again started barking. I saw two of my friends from my village walking up together. When they saw me, they just stared. One of them started talking, but the other said nothing.
“What’s up man?” The boy

I lied and said “I’m fine. Why do you ask?”
Then Juan started looking at me to with the same expression. James said “you have a red rash around your neck, and last night when you were changing your armpits looked a little swollen.”
I started to get scared, so I looked at my armpits and saw that they were huge. I looked back at James and Juan and said “you guys need to leave before you get infected.”
They both said insinc “but you will die.”
I said “remember what we agreed on?”
They finally agreed to leave, and they were gone before night. When I went back into the cave, The skeleton man was there, and right then I realized why he was there, he was there to show me how much longer I had to live, and when I died take me away. I laid down and watched the hourglass until it finally was all empty and I felt the life fall right out of me and when it did the skeleton man picked me up and then him and my spirit were gone and all that was left was my dead

You told him to leave you alone, but you were foolish to think that he would listen. Even with a fishing rod over your shoulders, determined to get a peaceful afternoon rest with your feet dangling above the furious river currents and the red bobber floating atop their violent surface. The rumbling of the water, spraying over your pants and shoes sporadically, would be enough to drift you to sleep as you sat across the mossed rocks. But he was at your heels.…
