I have always been fascinated by the complexities of the human mind. During my time as a Sunday School teacher’s assistant, I was always drawn to the eager children who soaked up information like a sponge. Attending class every Sunday gave me a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of companionship. The class I helped teach was in Spanish. Because of that fact, Spanish was the dominate language spoken, although the children—ages three to six—were constantly switching between English and Spanish in a very fluid manner. The teacher predominantly spoke Spanish, but I was present to help the children who occasionally stumbled upon their words. Sunday School was held every Sunday from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. Church service was held directly after class.
