Dogs are considered man’s best friend. Our love and friendship with them has been overshadowed by how some have tormented and abused them in inhumane ways. I believe those who do abuse animals have possibly been abused themselves or were taught to abuse animals as a child. These dogs including Pitbulls, Akitas, and Rottweilers are included in a blood sport known as dog fighting. Although dog fighting is a felony in all 50 states, it continues to occur in every part of the country and in every type of community. Fights can happen in a variety of locations ranging from back alleys to carefully-staged enterprises (ASPCA). This way of entertainment has encouraged thousands around the world.
Some ways of abuse is often hidden in people’s backyards. This is mostly extreme in the way of neglect. Forgetting about something is very easy, we’ve all forgotten something, whether it was homework, or taking out the trash. Taking on a pet is major priority that requires most of your daily attention. Their lives should not be taken away because of your ill-responsibility to care for them.
