Persuasive Essay On Cross Country Sweats

Decent Essays
Cross country and track should have better uniforms and sweats. Recently the volleyball and basketball teams got brand new uniforms and they weren’t even that old. The sweats are getting worn out, few of them have holes in pockets or doesn’t have a zipper anymore. Uniform shorts don’t have the rope to tighten the waist size. The sweats aren’t even waterproof anymore. But track and cross country aren’t the most popular sport to go out for. It will gain the runners confidence for cross country and track and not feel left out. They won’t be so outdated and there could be better types of uniforms and sweats. Give the old uniforms and sweats to the middle school track and cross country teams so they won’t have to buy new ones. Getting new uniforms

When I first started Crossfit, everything seemed foreign. Going to the gym left me feeling as if I had entered an entirely different dominion--one in which men and women became beasts, knowing only how grunt loudly while lifting heavy weights at incredible speeds. I started off frightened by the prospect of being isolated in such an unfamiliar setting, but as time progressed, my sense of detachment slowly dissipated. Outgoing as I am, I sought out ways to strike conversation with the “locals.” The first topic I found a mutual interest in was Star Wars; who knew such jock-like people could be such geeks like me?…

The Oxford Dictionary defines a sport as, “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment”. The decision to protest is a daunting one. It’s easy to chalk up the lack of involvement to the fear of what could happen when you submit yourself to the world of public objection. It takes a strong mind and a profound calling to partake in a protest. Personally, the decision not to protest has always bothered me more than the decision to stand up. I have passed opportunities to express dissent for something that I felt strongly about due to the possible negative social, emotional, economic, and often physical results of a protest.…

“This is by far the worst water quality we’ve ever seen in our sailing careers,” said Ivan Bulaja, a coach for an Austrian team training at Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro, where the 2016 Olympics will be held. The waters are polluted with sewage, dead fish, and trash, posing a serious threat to athletes training or competing there. Kristina Mena, a professor of public health, is an expert in water quality, and conducted a risk test for athletes competing in the waters Rio, assuming they would consume three teaspoons, which is far less than athletes say they take in. " The levels of viruses are so high in these Brazilian waters that if we saw those levels here in the United States on beaches, officials would likely close those beaches," Mena said.…

While some basic fitness training is an excellent start for the novice hiker, there are one or two additional things that you really need to do before you set out on your first hike. This isn't essential, but it's a sensible precaution to avoid problems. Walking around the house barefoot for a few days before your first hike will help to some extent and many people believe in rubbing witch hazel onto their feet two or three times a day.…
