A wage gap has been seen in regards to same sex orientation compared to heterosexuals and while it has decreased in recent years it is still present. In “Gay Pay in the U.K.”, it suggests that because for lesbians “there are fewer labour market interruptions associated with marriage and child bearing” (Arabsheibani 352). People seem to find it harder to accept a gay men as a boss or peer because them as going against traditional values, but for women their sexual orientation doesn’t create a wage gap.
