The detail and enormity of the sets seemed to bring to life the feel of a late nineteenth century Parisian opera house. The details of each set piece and prop used onstage were immaculate in every possible way. Out of the vast number of sets that were used throughout the show, the most breathtaking was the Phantom’s Lair, with the many floating candles strategically strewn across the stage, encircling both the Phantom and Christine. The most noteworthy special effect used on the set was the infamous crash of the gilded chandelier onto the stage. The sheer complexity of how it is done every night captures the minds of those in the audience. The chemistry between not only the leads, but the chorus as well, made it seem as if the actors were living within their roles, not just playing them. The cast gave it their all, no matter how tired they may have been or any circumstance. The vocals that were brought by those onstage were able to send shivers down the spines of those in the audience.
