First I have to start by saying that the PowerPoint presentation was easy to follow and was pleasing to the eye. The theme and colors grabbed my attention and held my interest throughout the entire presentation. After reviewing the recruitment plan as described by Group 4 I found the strengths to be the very detailed steps outlined for making the actual decision, and gathering information. Of course the more detailed the process the easier it will be to make a final decision. In all honesty I did not really notice any weaknesses in this plan. All the steps from recruiting to selection were outlined clearly and detailed. The only thing I would do differently is recruit internally or seek employee recommendations from current UPS employees. …show more content…
Frequent performance appraisals may be needed to ensure the driver is delivering the best customer service to the customers he/she is delivering to. This position appears to be more entry level and should offer a great deal of opportunity for career advancement. Career planning is something else that should be considered in an entry level position like this. A functioning career plan may be to set goals of one day being a department manager/supervisor over the delivery drivers. Starting as a driver will offer the skills and knowledge of what is needed in the department and should make the management transition more seamless. Career planning is a four step process. Step 1: knowing yourself, where you are now in your career and where you want to be in the future. Step 2: finding out about different occupations and what interest you most about those occupations. Step 3: making a decision, consider your career options and make a decision on what career best suits your needs. Step 4: taking action, you have decided what career you want now is the time to take the steps toward getting that
