It represents that older adults are useless in society because they have bad memory. I believe one of the most common negative stereotypes that exist about older adult is that they are forgetful, unintelligent, aren’t able to learn new things, and are prone to so-called senior moments. However, this is clearly a false statement because that is being prejudice to older adults and believing that all older adults have bad memory.
I chose this advertisement because it represents that aging is not beautiful and that being young is the only definition of being beautiful in the world. It is believed that our society believes that beauty decline when you get old, however, that is clearly being prejudice. I believe that our society needs to realize that the signs of aging that mark our bodies are badges of wisdom and that it is something that we need to proud of and not ashamed. I believes this is ageism because it applies that people who have wrinkles are not beautiful.
