Reflections about second clinical day.
The second clinical day was a great experience since I met with nursing staffs and successfully interviewed the patient. The staffs there were very supportive: they gave us a short orientation about the NIH and psychiatric units; then three of us were introduced to the alcoholic unit. The nurse educator helped us pick the appropriate patients, guided us how to find the patient admission history, psychosocial history and diagnosis. At the post conference, I learned from Dr. Ashby and my peers. In the coming week, it would be very helpful if we can discuss how the clinical research was conducted in the units?
