Two to three out of every ten kids will undergo bruxism and is usually cause by stress or anger. The grinding can wear down the teeth and cause periodontal tissue damage. Kids will most likely outgrow the causes of bruxism but cases occur more often in adults. Prevalence of adult bruxism is about 20% and will be given guidance on sleep hygiene before any dental inferences. Motor breakthrough is the term that sleep therapists use to describe these incidents where words in a dream are verbalized out loud. Sleep talking can occur during any stages of the sleep cycle. They can range from gibberish and mumbling to clear complex speeches. As common as 50% of children have reported sleep talking and typically outgrow it during puberty. Somniloquy is generally harmless but is associated with other parasomnias. Sleep talking that suddenly start in early adulthood may be a sign of a psychiatric issue or in severe cases, nocturnal seizures. Although no pharmacologic measures are necessary in normal cases, stress management and relaxation practices may be supportive to reducing sleep
