I found myself singing all the time, which is when I discovered a new way of reading, but without words. I found reading music was less stressful than actually reading, and I enjoyed it.
In my sophomore year I had to read classic books like the “The Great Gatsby” and “To Kill a Mockingbird”. We had many writing projects to go along with the books, and I actually didn't mind doing the essays. That is after I was done with the projects. As Mrs. Rassler assigned them I dreaded thinking and doing the projects, but after every project I did I felt so accomplished and by the end of the year I felt confident in my writing skills. Over my sophomore year I felt as if I needed to work on expanding my vocabulary, and that's what I did. I downloaded a vocabulary builder app on my phone to gradually expand my vocabulary limits.
Now i'm sitting here in Mr. Bolton's college level composition class listening to him talk about all the upcoming assignments coming later in the year and all I can think of is “what did I get myself into”? The answer to that is to explore new topics i've never even thought about before and to focus on writing and becoming a better
