Reflective Essay: My Experiences Of Developmental Change

Coming into the world we have close to nothing. We don’t know anything or anyone for certain. All we have are these different ranges of emotions and even then we don’t know what it is we are going through. As we grow older we start to gain more knowledge about the world and ourselves, we have many life experiences that change the way we look at things. Everyday we are growing, changing our minds, learning new things, developing physically and mentally. Throughout your entire life there will be some form of a developmental change that occurs, you don’t just magically stop developing once you reach adulthood. There are so many ideas or theories about the developmental process of humans, that these people called theorists take the time to research and come up with all of these different theories on development. A person can be moved around, bumped, knocked over and treated so rough that they are going to think and act differently because we can only take so much before we just want to shut down. The outside world affects us greatly but with a computer, it doesn’t matter what happens on the outside, it still runs the same internally.
When it comes to anything in life there are always going to all these different theories on what’s what. It’s the same with development, and some theories relate with each other and some are just completely unlike another. It all depends on what you believe in or agree with and you don’t necessarily have to believe in or agree with any of the theories.
