School. There was a girl in my class who I wasn't so fond of who one day decided to announce to
everyone that she had begun to write her own stories. She showed everyone pieces of her writings
expecting to get nothing but compliments and be to deemed the class writer, but when she finally
showed me her work I cringed at how deplorable it was. The stories had no clear perspective of
whether it was written in first person or third person view, some of the simplest of words were
spelled wrong, and many words were used in the wrong context. The class didn't seem to care for her

With my past experience in mind, from this course I expect to learn how to write college level
papers and be able to apply what I learn in this course to all my classes that require me to write essays,
memorize how to do MLA formatting, and improve my vocabulary so that all my papers will contain
college level vocab. Also, I want to be able to write good essays in a short amount of time to prepare
for written exams, and know how to work my way out of writer's block which is a problem I often have
when writing. Furthermore, regarding my weaknesses in writing, I want to learn how to make my
transitions from paragraph-to-paragraph and different topics more smoother so that my papers aren't
choppy, I want get better at writing bibliographies which is what I have the most trouble of writing
when I write research papers, and improve my skills in writing research papers, such as being able
to cite sources within my writings and not being repetitive when explaining the reasons or details on a
topic, and further improve my writing skills in
