Reflection upon experiences enables us to evaluate and subsequently apply different techniques in future circumstances. Upon reflection, my experience with Knowledge, Education and Communication (KEC) over the past semester has been extremely positive. Although I faced a few challenges (namely choosing a topic of enquiry and concerns with the oral presentation), I found strategies to overcome these, and am excited to apply my newly developed skills into future experiences.

As I have experience with writing essays at an academic level, once I had overcome the challenge of choosing a topic, I felt more positive about starting EP2. I also felt as though my planning and essay writing skills developed further through using the KEC grid templates for synthesis and critique, as I was able to read through the relevant literature I found, and immediately write down points I wanted to make for easy reference at a later date, when writing my draft and final essay. Action plan – influence future behaviour (state action plan and example)
This is an extremely invaluable skill, which I hope to keep improving on in future, as it will undoubtedly be useful in my career. I intend to apply this understanding in future by seeking advice on presenting skills and will ensure that I practice my presentation enough to the point where I know the material, and if I do happen to forget my point when I am speaking in front of an audience, I can gather my thoughts appropriately and continue without getting frustrated or stressed.
