In Poe’s life a lot of catastrophic things happen to him, consequently that is what molds him into a poet. Edgar Allan Poe was a great poet in the eighteen hundreds and still today. Edgar Allan Poe was and still is a poet. Edgar’s life begins in Boston, Massachusetts on January 19,1809. Very early in his life Edgar Allan Poe’s dad left him and his mom. Then, a little while later, after his mom died from tuberculosis. Next, the Poe family adopted him. He went to the University of Virginia and the U.S. Military Academy (Biography.com).
