I was recently made aware of Frederick Douglass’s life as a slave. Frederick Douglass a former slave shared his experience as a slave, he explained to us how he was abused by his temporary owner Mr. Covey because he was feeling fatigued and couldn’t work. This act alone done by Covey is so immoral and I can't’ stand how people can let this happen. They also say they serve a good purpose as well being a servant, but this isn’t really all that bad compared to labor, but are still abused and sold which makes this immoral. It is for this reason that I ask the slaves to stand up for themselves and protest, if they all don’t cooperate there's a chance that they will be heard and have a voice. People would also know the impact that the slaves serve for this country if they stopped doing their labor.
Sincerely, Johnny, a priest at the local Church, would say that the idea of slavery is immoral in every way, but it could change only if the way they are treated is changed and if they had rights like everyone else.
