I was with my grandmother and my cousin, Claren, and as our tradition every year my two cousins, grandmother and I would go to our camper in Cherokee where we would stay for weeks at a time. For a few years my entire family has had some bad problems with each other and it’s sad to say, but it has been many years since my entire family has been on a trip together or even seen each other. The entire trip honestly broke my heart knowing the things our family used to do as a whole was gone and also knowing that our family tradition has been broken. Our tradition was every year after school let out, my grandmother, my two cousins and I would head to the mountains where we stayed at an old campground but it always stayed as busy as it was when it opened. It takes almost two hours to drive up, but it’s worth it, from playing car games, to talking our heads off, to taking those sweet and peaceful naps was always my favorite part of the trip. After we would get all excited that we were finally back to our second home again, we had to rush and unpack the car and clean everything up for the time that we were staying there so that we were able to go to our favorite restaurant for supper, …show more content…
All we talked about was some of our most cherished memories, whether they were of us fighting or of us being our chaotic selves. I do have to say there was this one time when my cousins and I went to the old playground beside the pool and Chandler had to fix his swing because it was broken and he sat down and he had his can of Pringle chips that he had just bought. He starts to swing and I realize that I have to use the bathroom, and so as I start my way back to the camper all I saw was Chandler flying in the air from where his seat had broken in midair, Pringle chips flying everywhere, and I laughed so hard my bladder busted and I realized automatically what had just happened when I felt the warm liquid go down my leg. I started crying about laughing so hard and he was crying from the fact he didn’t have any more Pringles left to eat and during the middle of this Claren was so confused about what to do she just starts laugh and cry with us making all three of us look insane. These were the kind of stories we would bring back to our families and each person would have their own point of view about the story so sometimes it would end up being more of a dispute, but the fact that those stories would bring us together
