The whole idea of slavery has been around for many years before slavery was brought to the united states. To say that during the 17th century about 2,750,000 africans were sent to the Americas, which is one of the largest forced migrations of people in history. Most of them were sent to the Caribbeans, but from 1619 they began arriving to the british colonies in the Americas. Most african slaves that were brought to the british colonies had no hope when transported to Virginia, Maryland, and the Carolinas which relied mostly on slaves to work without pay in plantations and farms; that by the 1700’s there was about 23 thousand slaves working in the south endlessly. By this time racism was growing and growing to the way that slave traders and owners saw african americans as property, and had no human rights, were they could be bought and sold whenever the owner or slave trader wanted to. The most hardship that the slaves had to pass through was not that they had to work for life with no pay but that they were separated from their families. Which meant that a new nation aside from britain was form and called the united states. But even though all this occurred it didn't mean anything to the slaves because they were still sean as slaves and had no equal rights. On the other hand two societies were been formed in the colonies, one was the white and free while the other one was black and enslaved. Later on by the mid 18th century there was about more than 500,000 african american slaves in the 13 colonies. Some of those who were african americans had been brought or capture while others who were known as creoles had been born in the colonies. By this meant there was a new african american culture been formed in the united states by their old experiences living there. Going back to time for a year in the 1775, war was declared between the britains and the american colonies which later in a year it declared independence. Hoping for freedom the african americans fought on both the americans and the british something to them. The british announce that any slave who joined them would be free while the americans said all men would be equal. But in reality all was a lie since when the american got its independence it did not benefit at all the african americans because they were not considered a total human being. To say that when in the north all slaves were been free and the south were kept enslaved it still was about the same to the north since
